Woolworths, Zavi, PC World what's the world coming to?

closing down sales bigger than ever... people lose their jobs, all new CDs for £1.99 good for the public world. But think! musicians, authors and film makers need money as much as the workers of these shops do... selling it all for £1.99 might be one hell of a good party compilation of music... but isn't this all slightly weird... what's your opinion?

its shameful, those poor people, its all because of the internet though like amazon. If you buy from zavvi though they cannot afford to give you refunds or exchange your items! so may as well avoid dearer things with a barge pole! I didn't know about PC World, I was gonna go in their next week or when I get some money together lol hmmm better hurry! Its a shame that so many shops are going down and it had a ripple effect outside of the shop. Like you Zavvi selling CDs for £1.99 is plain ludicrous, singers na song writers will lose more money. Good topic to bring up :) star for you lol

It is an economic circle but this time it is so steepy going down, but the good thing is if it affects the whole world so the solution will be fast and quick to solve it out.

things are worth what people will pay for them. just because somebody pens a record doesn't follow that they should be entitled to some kind of millionaire lifestyle. at the end of the day writing a song doesn't stack up against saving a life and nurses do that day in, day out, for peanuts. but even at £1.99 if you sell enough you will make enough.

Where did you hear about PC World? There's nothing on the BBC web site, and in any case it's part of the Dixons Group, so that would be the headline name.
