What would be the steps to starting a small childrens retail store?

• i live in what most would call a small town, truth is, its actually largerthan expected. i have 2 children and both are boys and were preemies. now i had to drive 45 min to the nearest city to buy maternity clothes and clothes for my preemies. but to my surprise not even that city had a whole lot of retail location to buy preemie item and for boys at that! so i have decided that i want to open on up here in my location but am totally lost at where to even begin! i need help big time......any ideas or facts would be nice! thanx
