Answer:
First you need to do your homework on the company. Find out the company structure, what they do, how they do it. Know who their competition is, what sets them apart, etc. One of the first questions you will most likely hear is "Tell us a little about yourself?" Be prepared for this question. Practice how you will answer it so it seems relaxed and not rehearsed. Make your answer brief, and highlight your strong points as they apply to the position you are applying for. Another question that regularly comes up is "So what do you see as your weaknesses?" This is a trick question. Give them a loose answer, something everyone is weak in, and then tell them how you compensate. The one I use is " I find that new computer programs are always coming out, and not being up to date can sometimes be a problem. I am always searching the internet and looking for the latest programs, so I can be as up to date as possible, but sometimes I just don't find it quick enough". Who can't relate to that answer? They also usually ask why you want to work for them? Once again, be prepared with your answer. Since you know who they are, and what they do, interject yourself into the mix. Explain how see yourself being successful there and why? This can also lead to the next question, why should we choose you over the other candidates. Always be prepared. Explain your strengths, how they fit with the companies goals and business plan, and how you possess what they are looking for. Sometimes the job announcement will give you a clue of what they are looking for and what they expect. Feed this back to them. Anyway, stay loose and relaxed. Do not figit around or make overt hand gestures. Also you want to dress for success. Know what the dress attire is at the job so you don't over dress, but don't under dress or be too casual. It is also usually a good idea to remove any visible piercings if you have them. Depending on the job of course, in most cases its a good idea. The other very important thing to remember is too answer the questions with a story. Don't give them a yes or no, but instead tell them a story about how you handled that situation in the past, what you did, how it came out. Give them a good sense of your ability with tales of your experience, and highlight your strengths. I hope this helps, and good luck with the interview.
