What can I do with a law degree?

If you do not want to practice law or take the bar, what can you do with a law degree?

  • I do not feel like going into corporate law or feel like taking the bar. So what can I do with my law degree?

  • Answer:

You don't have to take the bar if you don't want to, altho' it'd be good for you to have some experience before you leave. You could be an in-house legal counsel for a large company. Large companies enter into contracts all the time and these need to be vetted by a legal mind. Or you could join the government. They need people in the Ministry of Law or equivalent. You could end up in the Legislation dept since Acts and Statutes need to be amended all the time. But if drafting new laws or amending existing ones are not your cup of tea, you shd avoid it.
