Is it a good time to go to school for Fashion Marketing/Visual Merchandising?

My mom keeps telling me I shouldn't go and go into health care but I have no desire to be in a hospital or represent a hospital. I want to work in sales. I would love to open a store that sells my favorite things. Books, Sneakers, Clothes, and Food! I don't have anything against health care but it isn't for me. I don't think about being a doctor I rather write or think of jeans that can fit me or what flavors go with orange!

Although the healthcare career may offer a steady salary in a safe career, it also is a very stressful career. A career you may want to consider is something like internet publishing and broadcasting, especially with the boom of the tech age. Basically, if you are motivated with a strong background and strengths in the fashion/visual marketing, then I say go for it.
