Does 'zones' affect the cost of shipping USPS Priority Mail Flat Rate Boxes And Envelopes?

Okay so i know that USPS Priority Mail Flat Rate Boxes And Envelopes are #1FREE and #2 are not effected by weight (they can hold any where from 13ounces too 70lbs.) but does the distance (within the US) affect the Flat rate price of $4.90?? I'm a new online seller and all this shipping stuff if really confusing please ONLY answer if you know what your talking about do not give me answers to other questions!!! My question once again is "Does the destination or the distance between my state and the state i'm shipping to affect the USPS Priority Mail Flat Rate Boxes And Envelopes flat rate price of $4.90?

With the Flat Rate boxes and envelopes, you can ship any where in the US or its territories for one flat rate. There are a couple of "regional rate" boxes that are used for Priority Mail, but they do not have "flat rate" postage.
