Can someone on ebay rip you off?

Please help me, it's about Ebay.?

• I have some questions about Ebay. I have a debit card and I never used it online for some reasons. My first concerned is can someone from Ebay rip me off, like for example take more then they are suppose to, also if they get the money but never send what you want to order. Can you guys please help me and have you guys ever had a problem before on Ebay?

If you are selling on ebay, that's another story since ebay is there to protect the buyer and not the seller. First concern: No, a seller only gets the amount you send them. They never have access to your debit card information. Paypal takes care of all the security and paypal information. Second concern: If a seller sells you an item but never sends it to you - then you can open a case on ebay (very easy to do) ebay will then review the case and issue you a refund. Even if the seller sends you an item and it doesn't match the description or pictures, ebay still protects you and will give you a refund. Check a seller's feedback to determine the type of service they provide. Check for sellers who have 100% positive feedback and high rating reviews. I've had two problems with sellers and both times ebay issued me a refund of the full amount that I paid, including shipping.
