I've just started my job, but I mentioned my Director that I have required 3 weeks leave as my mum sick and needs surgery, she said you need to write a letter to CEO, I have to say that I am aware of my entitlement leave but for my mum surgary I should go overseas.Can you please help me to writea letter thanks

    I cannot understand why you have to ask for annual leave. If you are entitled to the leave you just take it. If the leave is in advance then the letter will be a requirement. You should have no problem writing a letter to the C.E.O. Make sure that only he gets the letter. There is nothing worse than everyone knowing your personal affairs, and possibly spreading the information. Write the letter with honesty, and factual. If you are not entitled to the leave you may not get it, but if the leave is already accrued, you should be able to take the leave, without revealing the reasons why.
