How does ebay selling fees work?
-
I sold my first two items in ebay last month making a total of £28. I recently got an email from ebay saying they had taken £36 from my bank account for last months fees! Surely thats not right?

Answer:
No that's not right. You get a fee for listing and a % of the final sale is taken also i'm not sure how much. If you re listed your items many times due to no sale it will charge you every time. So that could be it.

They charge you for listing each item. The more pictures you post and other special add ons you put in each listing, the more expensive the listings are. Then after an item sells, eBay takes a small percentage of the final selling price of each sold item. So if you listed a bunch of stuff that never sold, you might owe more in fees then you made on products sold.

It will all be broken down in your ebay account for you, it might be that someone has asked for the money to be refunded etc...but you really need to go on your ebay account and have a look.
