Can I return my iTouch to Walmart?

Can I return iTouch to Walmart if I do this?

• I bought an iPod touch 4th gen 64gb for 421 with tax a week ago, now having looked at newegg's price I want to return it and save liek 70 dollars but here's what I want to do: Buy Newegg's ipod touch 4th gen with 64gb and put this one in the case that carried the Walmart's ipod touch so that I can keep the scratched ipod (walmart's) and give walmart the new one (newegg's). HOWEVER, newegg's ipod model is MC547LL/A, Walmart's model is A1367. WILL I GET IN TROUBLE OR SOMETHING IF I DO THIS? TL;DR: Bought Walmart's iPod. Want to return to buy cheaper. Before returning buy Newegg's different model iPod, put it in Walmart iPod's case and then return. Ok to do this or should I give Walmart their iPod back with the scratches?

  that should work - HOWEVER 1) you MUST have the receipt. when you return a electronic item to Walmart, they have someone come and look to make sure you returned everything that it comes with, so if it's obvious that it is a different model, then you need to return the scratched one to Walmart (which I would anyways) . Also, for tech returns you usually only have 14 days to do it, so you need to return it ASAP to walmart - as in you can't wait for the shipment from Newegg anyways... Just stuff to keep in mind from someone who returns a lot to walmart...
