What kind of jobs can you get in a Pharmaceutical company?

What kind of job can I get with my qualifications?

  • I have 2 degrees in Economics and Finance, and I worked for one year at a country club helping manage it, and doing some simple acounting that was necessary. I also worked at a computer company doing all of the invoicing, purchasing, helping customers with quotes, doing inventory, and keeping track of the bank accounts. What kind of jobs would I be able to get?

  • Answer:

You sound like you'd be able to do a variety of careers - basically all you'll probably need to do is select the industry that you are interested in - all types of businesses always need finance and economic people. Plus you have management experience too. If I were you, I'd go to www.monster.com or www.careerbuilder.com (or a similar site) and fill out one of those "skill assessment" sheets (or submit your resume) - they'll automatically match jobs for you and it will give you a rough idea of what jobs you are qualified for right now. I'd also type in some of the main skills that you have in google and follow them with "resume" - you'll see matches of other people who have qualifications that are similar to yours and will get a chance to see what kinds of jobs they have held. I'd also look at some very general job lists - "economics careers" and "finance careers" and then see if your qualifications fit those careers. Then you might try to figure out where you want to go - careerwise. That should help you to figure out what job to pursue. (It is good to think about where you want to be 2 or 3 jobs down the road so that you can start getting the skills that you need with your next job.) With your skill set, things should look pretty bright for you. All the best.

You can do whatever you want to do in this world. I believe that. There are many lawyers that work in business, there are many physicians that work in business. Look at the president of Germany, an atomic scientist working in politics. Now, as to what job can maximize your odds of career success and recognition? It could be a career in business such as financial analyst. Nowadays, financial analyst means anything, from handling inventory to benchmarking financial performance of portfolios. In these jobs thing there's always an uncontrollable factor. One can't control the working environment, if the coworkers are nice or a5sholes. That fact makes a difference as it motivates you to work more, or work less. Also, there are future opportunities or disasters that emerge in the last thought of place.

My husband has a business and finance degree and started at Borders. His degree is from Michigan. Now he is a VP for a computer consulting firm and his specialty is selling Business Intelligence Soft ware and services. 150,000 plus incentives-look into it. Alot of his friends are into sales in the software business and make excellent money w/ their finance degrees. Also look into Pharmaceutics reps they make 90 + a year

It seems as though you can get a lot of good entry level jobs. How much experience do you have with your finance degree? Did you take internships during college? It sounds like you're focus was on a lot of accounting and managemnt instead of actual heavy hitting stock trading. Check around to see what's availible to you, call up businesses askking for an assessment, hypotetically, of course, to see just how much you would be an asset if they were hiring.

Get off your A33 and try to put in your resume to find a job on monsters.com. My fiance did and she is working in less than two months of putting in the resume. She does have an MBA though. Give it a shot, forget those other clowns.
