Large Fundraising Ideas?

Anyone got some good fundraising ideas?Can i ask large companies to sponsor me?

• i need a few thousand to go do charity work in ghana in the summer..any idea how to get money easily? any unusual good money making fundraisers? Also do large companies sponsor people and groups like me? Iv heard they do but how do i go about this?? and what do they get out of it?

  The company I work for has a fundraising program--it has grown like crazy over the past year because of the economy. It is a nationwide discount card that sells for $20, you keep $10, and the donor ends up saving way more than they paid for it, so it's an easy sell. This link is to the youth/church group card, but they also have one for youth sports and scouts and other charities. My friend is using it for his scout troup and loves how much easier it is.
