How does MoneyGram work?

What is a "moneygram"?

• I am closing a deal on a dog I am buying, and the breeder/seller requested a "moneygram" that I can do at Walmart... I was like "oh yeah, we have Walmart, yeah!" but I dont even know what it is, or where in Walmart I'd go to do this! He said "I believe you just need xxxxxxxx information, but if you are missing something, give me a call tomorrow." What's a Moneygram, how does it work, how do I send one?

  You can send it at any Western Union and most banks do it as well, I would not mess with that, I would do a wire transfer from your bank account to the seller, it is safer and you can have instant access to the funds and better proof the payment was sent to them, I do not trust Money Grams, sometimes they take forever to reach the person that is to get them. Western union it all the way, or a wire transfer as I suggested..Money Gram sucks.......
