Does USPS deliver mail the day after Thanksgiving?

Will usps deliver on columbus day?

  • Is the post office open on columbus day? My package was sent from NY using priority mail on thursday night. I live in NJ. It was supposed to be delivered on saturday, but got late. Will the post office deliver it on Columbus day (monday)?

"Columbus Day Holiday Schedule Postal Operations Will Be Limited on October 8, 2007 INDIANAPOLIS, IN — United States Postal Service operations will be limited Monday, October 8, 2007, in observance of the Columbus Day holiday. Postal operations on the holiday will be as follows: * There will be no regular home delivery, however, postal employees will be delivering Express Mail items. * There will be no retail window service at any United States Postal Service station or branch. * Mail delivery will resume on Tuesday, October 9, 2007. "

the post office doesnt deliver on Columbus Day so you should get your package on tuesday.

I used to work at a post office in NJ. There are occasions, when there are a large amount of parcels in the mailstream, that parcels MAY be delivered on holidays and even some Sundays. So the answer is ...maybe.
