What should I wear to a job interview?

  • I am 16 and I have an interview at my local supermarket tonight. I was wondering what I should wear. I know blue jeans are not appropriate. I was wondering if white pants with a nice pink blouse. If I wear that can I wear pink flip-flops or should I wear white K-Swiss’s with a pink out line or should I go with something completely different. And should I wear my hair down, half pony,or pony tail. Thanks!

    The white pants and pink top are fine. Wear a closed toe shoe...to a grocery store interview even a nice clean pair of tennis shoes will be fine. The hair doesn't really matter as long as all of your face can be seen and doesn't look trashy.

Dont show skin, look responsible. No flip flops, casual is ok since you are 16. Just dont look too childish.

You are going to work in a supermarket!!!! Well! Be Casual and not to Conservative, something you would wear to be apealing but not too sexy! Dont worry about your hair, just wear it nice! The biggest thing is is to go to the interview wearing a Big Smile! As that is what people remember! Hope you get it!

Dress conservatively: 1. shoes, not flip-flops. 2. nothing tight or revealing. . . no bare belly, low neckline, pants falling off, no underwear showing, etc. No one looking like a hooker or gangsta needed. 3. no extravagant fingernail manicure - just clean & short. 4. no elaborate or bizare hairdos - simple, clean, off the face & out of your eyes. 5. For females: Very little make-up - keep it subtle - no racoon eyes, frosted lips, clown-like blusher. 6. Be alert & polite. Smile. Spell everything correctly on your application.

dress professionally. no open-toe shoes, no jeans. wear pants and a blouse. no loud colors. no heavy perfume. nice hair style, neat. look the interviewer in the eyes. don't act nervous. smile when appropriate. bring a resume, and a pen some references, if you have them. and dont forget to send them a "thank you" letter after the interview, or at least a follow up call. tell them that you are exited about the position, and that you can start immideately, and that you will be one of their best employees( they like to hear that) good luck!

No sneakers, no flip flops, no shorts, no jeans. Wear some nice sandals, a skirt, khakis, or pants. Do not wear too much jewelry or makeup. And don't wear a tank top or a low cut shirt. Put your hair up, it is more professional. Always dress for an interview a notch above what you will wear to the job each day.

I wouldn't wear flipflops... or even sneakers. Try and wear nice pants/skirt and a nice blouse. Closed toe shoes or nice dress sandals will be fine.. and GOOD LUCK!

definitely not the flip flops. Black pants would be better with a nice top, pink is ok but a white blouse might look more professional.
