In Pokemon Platinum, can you receive a national pokedex pokemon in a DS-to-DS trade before beating the game?
-
So I want to trade some old pokemon from Diamond into Platinum. I want to get all my favorite ones off of Diamond so that I can sell the game. Then, in Platinum, I'll have everything I need. But my question is, do I need to have the national pokedex in Platinum to receive my national pokedex pokemon from Diamond (for example, my Ninjask)? I can't test it myself yet. I'm getting my friend's DS to do this in a few days, so this won't be an online GTS trade or anything. Just a local, DS-to-DS wireless trade.
