Can I run the Japanese Version of FFXI on an English version of Windows XP?

I want to run the Japanese version of FFXI so that I have acess to typing in Japanese (hiragana, katakana and kanji) but I run a English version of Windows XP. Has anyone had experience trying this? I looked on the FFXI Japanese home page and it lists in the system requirements a japanese version of Windows but if anyone else has got it to run on English Windows I'd like to hear about it. Thanks.

Yes, u just need a Japanese keyboard, otherwise how will u be able to type Japanese.

Couldn't you just use an IME input it should be compatible for FFXI if I'm not mistaken. Could you clarify if you've tried this or not? Nihongo Daisuki yo.

For fonts, settings, etc., you need to install East Asian Language. See here. http://nihongopc.us/en/pc/es10.html and for display the Japanese menu in English PC. Use this http://nihongopc.us/en/pc/isoft.html
