Do I Have Warranty On My Broken PSP?

Question about fixing psp?

  • My psp's analog stick is bent down and left, so whenever i play a game or anything my psp will scroll down or left( basically acting as if i was pressing the analog stick down). It's not broken or snapped off, it's fully functional but gameplay is basically impossible unless i hold the analog stick in the center constantly. i don't want to send it to playstation to get a refurbished model(i don't have a warranty anymore) or buy a new one. Is there any way to fix this? Is there anything that i should replace that could make it work again or do i have to buy a new psp? I don't know what could be at fault, it seems likely it might be the analog stick itself but im thinking it might also be the faceplate holding it wrong or something. Are there maybe some repair places or websites that i could give my psp to so they could fix it? Any advice is much appreciated, thanks!

  • Answer:

I am also a psp owner and i hate it when something happens with my psp and I cant get any answers on how to fix it. Even though I have no idea on how to fix an issue with the psp analog stick, A place besides the Sony company that I can reccomend to get it fixed woule be Radio Shack,Best Buy, or Circuit City because they are usually good with electronic repair, but i wouldnt suggest Gamestop or E.B. Games because they suck with repair and they will more than likely try to cheat you or rip you off.
