Can you have a messenger on the Nintendo DSi?

What do you think of the New Nintendo DSi (New DS !)?

  • Nintendo has revealed the new Nintendo DSi, which features a bigger screen, the addition of 2 cameras (1 on front, 1 on back) also features better sound performance and may have a cheaper price tag!     I don't think they improved on it very much especially because they removed the GBA slot so now you can only play DS games on it and for DS games that can interact with the GBA games such as diamond/pearl/platinum with the other pokemon GBA games. It doesn't really make any sense to get a DSi to replace a DS lite and of course you could always just buy the original at a lower price, I find that the original feels better in my hands even if it doesn't have more brightness and does not have any new equipment coming out for it.

I think it's pretty cool that they added a camera, but personally, I think that instead of make a new type of DS that they should just make a new handheld system.

I love it! I really like that I can listen to music and take photos on my ds now. The only thing I really dont like about it is the lack of a GBA slot. I guess i'll just keep my original DS to play the games that interact with GBA games such as Pokemon Diamond.

I love it! I can't wait for me to upgrade mine. I'm hoping there will be camera friendly games available for it too!

I think they've just took ideas from other existing consoles and put it on to the DS. It looks good and maybe it will work well, but there's nothing truly new and exciting about it to me Edit: the details you just added make it sound like the Sony PS2 eyetoy. PSP also has a camera for it too. Again, nothing new

i honestly got to say it is the exact same the only diffrence is how it is set out and the screen is a bit bigger but thats not good the littler the console is the better but it still is good ;) but i like the idea of the camra

That's awesome! i didn't even know about that. It's also really lame because i just bought a ds lite. i hate it how nintendo keeps dishing out better versions of products its annoying. it would be better off if that was the first release and they just kept it that way.

It looks good, but I wont be trading in my ds lite for it. If I didnt have one and this one was cheaper I might have got it instead of a ds lite. Im not really interested in games that use my pic or a photo book to be honest.

It looks good but I don't care for cameras. I wonder if we can block the cameras. I am all for the better sound quality. Hopefully they have improved the MIC performance too.
