Where can I download Safe Virus Free stuff for my Sims Games that will work?

• I want to make a sim video and I need stuff...But like..I don't know where to go to download the stuff..And the last time I tried I got a bunch of lost files that did'nt go into the game..Why did they do that and where can I download stuff for my games and be virus free?   There are tons of fan sites for Sims 2 that are safe, although with the internet, you always run the risk of getting a virus when you download anything. If you want to be safe, run a virus scan on the downloaded items before you open the files. Here are a few of my favorite sites.
