Can you play xbox games on an xbox 360, I'm being told no by best buy and circuit city.?

if you get the core system you cant but if you get the premium edition you can.

If you get the premium package you can play Halo and Halo 2 right away with it. If you want to play any of the other 200 titles that are backwards compatable you need to have xbox live to download the patches you need to play them

yes, but only certain ones. All XBox games that you can play on the 360 will be emulated through the hard drive. But you have to buy the full system to be able to emulate them. You will also most likeyly have to have an internet connection to download the necceserry software to emulate. p.s. Halo 2 is playable on 360 through emulation. 100%

Well yes and no. Microsoft is only allowing the best sellers to be playable on the Xbox 360. But Halo and Halo 2 are pretty much guaranteed to be playable on the new system.

Like everyone said...you need the premium system...but you want that one anyways if Halo is your thing because if comes with the hardrive and headset (plus more) for $399. If you bought the core for $299 then you would at the minimum have to buy the $40 memory card and $20 headset...why not spend $40 more to get a Wireless controller, headset, 20 gig harddrive and HD cables)
