  2 ways: 1. Buy a mod chip online, remove the original chip from PS2, then soldier the mod chip back. Beware, I know people who screw up their PS2 during the process. Not recommend if you are inexperience doing such work. 2. Buy one mod machine from Hong Kong (or maybe Taiwan or China, but I don't familiar their vendors' reputation), it's cheap and ready to play. Those mod PS2 can play most if not all backup DVD games. Mine bought couple years ago and can play Resident Evil 4, Soul Calibur 3, etc... (Backup copies) w/o problems. One catch, the mod chip maybe outdated or due to my nephew drop the machine one time... I'm experience longer than usual loading time, and slow response cut-scene... compare to original game DVDs. I'm not sure new products they selling now got this issue or not.
