Can you play Gameboy Advance Games on a Nintendo DS Lite?

you can play game boy advanced on it but you need to use the nintendo ds lite one but if you use the long ones you can't play it on the ds lite

I am pleased to report that the Nintendo DS & DS Lite includes the GBA port on them. Just place the GBA in game port 2 (as the DS games use game port 1) & start up your DS. If you have your DS in manual mode, you'll need to select the GBA game instead of the DS game... but you'll most likely know this by now. Please be aware of the following when playing a GBA game on your DS. 1) Only one screen will be active on your DS. While you may choose this in the DS settings, the other screen will be off. 2) THERE IS NO MULTIPLAYER SUPPORT FOR GBA GAMES WITH THE DS! GBA games require a gamelink port to communicate with other GBA's. Since the DS doesn't have such ports, you will not be able to access multiplayer options. Besides these two things, you should be able to enjoy Harvest Moon: Friends of Mineral Town (GBA) on your DS. Please disregard the "For GBA Only" note as that was printed on the game package BEFORE the DS was released.

Yes, you can. That box is old. You can play any GBA game on the DSL. However, you cannot use a linker cable on the DSL because it does not have a port. (From now on, when I say 'DS' I mean Nintendo DS Lite.) The Ds connect wirelessly. It is a very good portable game system, you can use it almost anywhere. Games are relatively inexpensive, even bought new (compared to other game platforms) but I suggest you buy them used. That way, you can try several games for less money. Oh of course you can! :) There's special slot on the bottom where you plug the game in. You can also choose to play it on the top or bottom screen. (DS stands for "double screen"). But just to let you know, when you play the gameboy games it isn't a touchscreen. You can only use the touchscreen when you play the normal DS games. But you know how you use a cord to connect gameboy to gameboy and share data with gameboy games? Well, you can't do that with ds's. You can only play 1 player mode with GBA games. With normal DS games you CAN play in group mode, with Wi-Fi connection (no wires). You can usually play with 5 people who have ds's! I hope you enjoy your DS if you get one! But one thing, don't waste your money on that DSi. It's way more money for useless features. And, you can't play GBA games.

Yes it can be played and anytime you see a GBA box cover and it says only GBA it can be played on the DSL they say that because it's the old box art and be careful not to buy the DSi it CANNOT play GBA games. Oh yeah I'm not 100% sure of this but if you buy the first gen DS the fat one it can connect to the gamecube with the link cable as it has the same port as the GBA.

yes. the ds. lite can play gameboy advanced games. it cannot however play gameboy or gameboy color games. i very much enjoy my Nintendo ds lite. although the screen after a while may get flimsy. my cracked at the bottom part and wont stay open unless held open. do not get a nintendo dsi for they cannot play gameboy advanced games. i would highly suggest getting a Nintendo ds lite. they are very fun!

the DS and DS lite play GBA game the DSi does not :P on the DS litel though it will stick out by 1cm :/
