How do I connect my Action Replay DS to my computer?

Well I have installed everything that comes with the Action replay. I have put the Action Replay in the DS and I put the lead in the USB slot. I put the Action Replay on the udates page, an on the compuet when I click the quick update button it says you need to connect you action replay, but I think I have connected it. Please help

try reinstalling everything... also plug the cord into the BACK of your computer
