Is the sims H&M stuff good?

Sims 2 pc hacks won't load?

• i have sims 2 pc and expansions up to pets. i had to uninstall pets and then reinstall. which made all my files go away but i had it backed up on an external hard drive so i just pasted the content back into the downloads folder. the game works fine but my hacks aren't working. all other custom content is workings, sims, clothes, etc but my hacks aren't. i also loaded hm stuff pack after i reinstalled. could that be conflicting the hacks?

  I doubt that because if you wanted to download a hack and weren't sure whether your stuff packs would make a difference, then you look at the coding that the stuff pack was based on. The H&M stuff pack's coding is actually based on the Open for Business game. Since Pets is newer (and definitely introduced new game coding) then as long as the hack you have is updated to work with Pets, then it should not make any difference if you added H&M Stuff. I do know that H&M stuff is newer than Pets, but the coding used for the game was still based off of Open for Business coding instead of Pets or Seasons coding. I do find it odd that your other cc is working, but just not your hacks. When you start up your game, does it stop on a page where you see a warning about custom content overriding game behavior? Or have you already gone into the options in the game and turned that off? Maybe you should try "resetting" the options to show cc. I assume you have already gone into your option and told it to enable cc, right? Well, try going in and telling it NOT to enable cc. Then exit so this change takes effect. Re-start your game and then this time go back into the game options and tell it to enable cc again. Then exit again. I have heard from other people that sometimes they have to do this a couple of times before it seems to work correctly, although I have never had that problem. Anyway, when you do turn it back on, you know where it says to Show Custom Content in the buy and build catalogs? Well, to the right of that you'll see something about showing a dialog box on start-up. I always Disable this as I hate it when it stops on that page, but if you have disabled this then you need to click on that white star that's below that and then make sure it's checked to Enable Custom Content. If you have already done all of this and you still aren't having your hacks show up, could you give the name of one or two of the hacks that aren't working correctly? It might be easier to try to figure out if we knew what the hacks were. Oh, and I'm assuming that you already had these hacks in your game before and that they were working then, right?
