How to hook up Atari 2600 to a TV?

How can I hook up Atari 7800 to HD TV ?

  • Just picked up an Atari 7800 Pro and need help getting it to work on my 50" plasma. Do I need one of these ? http://www.ebay.com/itm/270869267375?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2648#ht_2669wt_1163 I have the TV/GAME/COMPUTER Switch-VG177 that has the black piece that I was told goes into my coaxial cable on the back of my tv, but this thing does not screw in but it just kind of shove in. I do not have cable so I do not mind using it. Otherwise could you use a dvd player or vcr and run it through that somehow ? Didn't really want to go that route but I need it working. Not sure about this but would you have to use channel 2 or 3 to play it. What input would I be using. I have component 1, 2 and video 1, 2 Not sure if it was hooked to to cable part on back of tv what I would be using ? TV possibly... because I have tv {unused} , Component 1 & 2 , HDMI 1 {Direct TV} , 2 {PS3} , 3 {XBOX 360} , video 1 {Wii} & 2 Thanks for any help as I need it.
