Are people still seriously interested in playing World of Warcraft?

Why do people at school make fun of me for playing world of warcraft?

    i dont play it and have some friends who play it and i make fun of them because the game blows it makes no sense its addictive only to people who really dont have lives and see wow as a way to reinvent themselves. again. the game sucks and its expensive. how are you going to pay for it if you dont have a job? your parents? youll be too busy playing the damn game to see anyone or get a job. its an addiction such as smoking. although not as stupid as smoking you get addicted in the same manner. "dude play this game its sooo awesome" so before you "knock someone out" think about how stupid they are for thinking your one of those people who have no lives. however if you dont have a job you dont see your family for more than six hours a day (3 -9) or you use wow to relive stress you are in fact a lifeless dueshbag who should be sent to an island with no internet or other tech.

Because they are stuckup and think they are cool. As long as you don't spend your whole day playing you're fine. But hey, I think it's better than getting wasted every night and destroying your brain cells and body. But dumb kids think that is cooler so whatever. Seriously Robert, you make yourself sound like a rude person. You think it sucks, but they like it. No need being mean to your friends about it. And what clearly you're one of the many ignorant people who think that anyone who plays mmos have no life. Why is it so hard for your mind to understand that maybe people can play WoW and have a job at the same time. They just play maybe a moderate amount, and the rest is devoted to their responsibilities. What makes you think everyone who plays it spends their whole life on it and don't do anything else? Sure a minority does that, but that isn't a reason to hate on everyone who plays it. Honestly it's a pretty obvious possibility that you and many others can't seem to see. That being said I don't play WoW.

Wow has been blitzed by everything, wow is a very addictive game and only a small minority are addicted, but that small portion is enough for everyone to go hysterical about. I play wow and i am not addicted but my friends always tease me, people can be addicted to many games, WoW has over 15 million players, so ofc people will be addicted. Unfortunatly it will never go. Dont let it put you off its a great game... GOO CATACALYSM ;)

Don't let anyone get to you on what games you play. its your life, and if you are entertained by the games then thats great. Screw them for making fun of you. I don't personally like the WoW games and they really are considered very nerdy where I am from, and I admit I've definitely called that game stupid before. But I have my own reasons, like I have friends or ex's that are desperately addicted to it and its very pathetic. But a game is a game. Kids are mean. life goes on.

Because people think (Including me) that WoW is a geeky game. I suggest you do not play WoW AT ALL! This game is extremely addictive and will cause mental problems too, from what I heard of, like, for example, if you're addicted to it, you would always talk about leveling up and stuff and think leveling up in WoW is cool, which isn't. If you play WoW, you'll be playing in your mom's basement for eternity! If you REALLY want to know why it's addicting, watch the South Park episode, "Make Love, Not Warcraft" and/or watch the sixth episode (Watch the first 5 first) of Pure Pwnage: http://purepwnage.com
