Rpg games to play offline on my pc any ideas?

I want to download some games to my computer (legal games) not games that are owned by some huge company that will sue but just games that are available for free online for anyone to download and play on their free time... ofcourse i dont want to infect my laptop so virus and malware free zones would be great maybe a trusted area or zone... and finally as on the title i want it to be played offline :)
