How do i save my game of the legend of zelda without having to die?

You see i have a 3DS, im an ambassador . I have the original legend of zelda on it but i don know how to save mid game. whenever i want to save i always kill my self and then select save . I hope that i can save mid game, if so please answer me.

Answer:
You can't save midgame, but if you press the HOME button on the 3DS, the game will stay suspended, even if you turn of the system.
