Why isn't Call of Duty working right now, 3/23/12?

I'm in cali, same problem, maybe orverworked servers haven't heard and serious problems with it

then play a different game the world doesnt end with call of ******* duty and its multiplayer

ITs been doing this for over an hour. I'm tryign to get a Zombies game... im pretty cheesed. Friday night.. new maps.. x2 xp.. not cool. I;m from Toronto i have friends from the east coast and have problems.

Conroe, TX, 10:56pm on March 23, 2012. I am trying to play Black Ops (as opposed to MW3) and I am having the same issue as all of you. I have been trying faithfully for an hour to figure out a solution yet as you have all realized, there is none. I JUST WISH THEY WOULD FIGURE OUT AN ANSWER! Paying for xbox live is no good if when we want to use it we can't... EXTREMELY PO'd right now... WTF!

Same here, right about the same time as you! I do have some friends on the West Coast that are playing right now just fine. Oh well gonna run some torque bow tag in Gears until they fix this crap : (

Yes, people's commets are correct. The reason is that people when they were getting the double XP. People, would get alot of XP, when they complete a challenge... Such as if he challenge was 10,000 XP for it too be done, people would recieve 20,000. So Infantry Ward closed all servers and everything to do a maintenance and fix that problem.

Down for me as well. You would think after all the money we spend on xbox live, the game, downloadable content, call of duty elite, ect. that this wouldn't be a problem.
