How do I reset my Poke Walker?

So I just restarted my Pokemon Soul silver game because I wasn't satisfied with my starter, and now I don't know how to restart my pokewalker. Everytime I try to connect it, it says it can't connect to this trainer...or something. Is there a way I can reset it so I can use it with my current file?

Try reading the manual... Ok sorry lol From the main menu select "Connect to pokewalker" you'll see "Save, then go for a stroll" , hold the down button on the thing that looks like a + and X, then press "L" once you've read "Caution" press YES you'll see the screen to the right, and the pokewalker will connect to the DS system. Good Luck =D the kid below me is missing a few steps

press and hold down, select, x. It will say to erase the poke walker.If your poke walker does not connect to you ds, then you cannot connect.
