    I think GTA 4 is better than GTA San Andreas because GTA 4 has an immensely relatable character, as opposed to the shallow stereotype portrayed in GTA San Andreas. San Andreas does have it's strengths. A lot of people liked the stats building system, the gang turf wars, and some of the more outrageous aspects like the jetpack, tank, and jet. However, it ended up for me to be too outrageous and impossible to relate to. GTA 4 on the other hand had very few shortcomings to me. Sure they took out the stats building, but it's a sandbox GTA game, I don't care if they took out the RPG elements. I was also a huge fan of the characters and story development, with the ending presenting me with a relatively difficult choice with no clear cut right answer. Did I think it had problems? Well, if I had to pick, there is no tank, which was disappointing only because my first GTA was GTA III when it came out, and who didn't love that tank? Overall, GTA San Andreas was decent, but GTA 4 deserved all the acclaim it rreceived and then some.

they both have their ups and downs...such as SA having terrible graphics..but EXTREMELY FUN GTA IV awesome graphics......not really that much fun...unles your online doing something unique or game made by you. they should have added all aspects to gta iv from SA the problem why they didn't is that all the copyright. they had everything in the game before it came out. people complained so much that they had to delete alot of stuff... like for example...no jets in gta iv....why? because they didnt want people mocking 9/11 you see what im trying to say here sorry for the extremely long post :(

gta 4 has way better graphics but on san andreas you can fly air planes on 4 you can't

GTA: SA is by far the best gta game ever not saying gta4 wasn't good but they let way to many features from san andreas go like flying a plane for example.

I think that basically all of the GTA games are some sort of addicting and San Andreas and GTA IV are my two favorite ones by far. San Andreas features some things you just can't do on GTA IV like swimming under water and flying jets but the realism, the artificial intelligence, and the impact of general excitement in GTA IV makes it better to me than any of the other ones. The car accidents are badass. Your car can die, you can get ejected from your vehicle. You can use the internet, and even a cell phone... amongst many other things, like online play, etc. GTA IV has my vote as better than San Andreas.

Needless to say GTA4 is superior in every technical aspect and is much more in depth than San Andreas. That said, I MUCH prefer San Andreas simply because of that lack of depth. I mean, I can get in and out of a round of San Andreas in 20 minutes and walk away. With GTA4 you'd better have at least a few hours to commit to the game per session. But this is coming from a guy who still prefers Mike Tyson's Punch Out over anything.

thats a tuff question, weel if u like glitches gta san adreas. gta 4 is funner since its more fast paced. no working out and crap like that. also the story is a bit more interesting, and its really fun to play, way better graphics to.so i am leaning toward gta 4
