Are there any decent PSP or PS2 emulators out there?

Can I still play emulators on my Psp 2000 with a 6.60 update..?

  • I wanna play emulators on my psp like N64,Psp,ps1 & even Ds games. Do I need to downgrade it to be able to do this or can I still play emulators on my psp without having to worry about it being bricked..?

  • Answer:

You don't have to worry about bricking your PSP by putting emulators on them, however the last firmware to support emulators and homebrew was anything before 1.50 (and 1.50-2.00 could also do it using a memory card with a save from Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories). 6.60, you are way too recent to allow for homebrew to play without a custom firmware. You will need to do some hacking to bring your console temporarily down to another firmware and then update to a custom firmware that supports homebrew, emulators, and pirated games. I can't give you the instructions, but a quick Google search will find them for you. It does require some items that aren't all that cheap and there is a chance you could brick your console. Sorry man.
