How to decorate a diary?

My diary is a composition book, how can i decorate it 2 make it pretty??!?

  • I'm a teen so maybe something fun or colorful!! Thnxx!!!

  • Answer:

Mhmmm I'm no lady but...I do have a little 7 year old niece who has her own diary, actually she has about 12 and she loves going to Clair's to buy some pretty stickers, also the girls at my school have these cool tiny letter stickers that are 3D umm I believe if you check with Wall-mart in there decorative you will find endless possibilities. Well seeing as how I'm not relatively good in this category I figured id make my limited knowledge of "pink and pretty" use full from my time with my niece ^_^ I hope you take some of my mediocre decorative ideas into consideration!

you could get one of those fluffy book covers... or you could use rhinestones

You can also "cover" the front with sheets of decorative polymer clay (could be all kinds of patterns or use various surface techniques like stamping, metallic powders, etc., etc.,). Sometimes the clay is "baked" right on the covers, sometimes it's made separately then glued onto the cover. To see the kind of thing I'm talking about, check out this page at my site: http://glassattic.com/polymer/books.htm (... click on Covers-- Notebook, Journal, Other...) The "notebook" ones would be more like what you're thinking of, but the others would have lots of good ideas too) You can also make smaller polymer clay things just to glue onto your present or decoupaged/etc. cover, or use air-dry types of clay instead of polymer clay. Go to one of those large craft shops. They usually have all types of goodies for decorating items. I live in Vegas go to a craft store called Michaels. They have so much stuff. I can't believe people are into so many things.

The sky's the limit; use fabric, rickrack, pom poms, decorative paper, glitter, stickers, or whatever you like. Or decoupage on scenes.

Try cutting out things you like from magazines and gluing them to the diary

Check out your local craft store or wal-mart and look at the scrapbooking sections. they have great papers in many themes, colors, and patterens. You can get ribbons, charms, stickers, die-cuts - almost anything!
