Will super glue work with sea shells? Crafters I need help!?

I bought a shadow frame box at Hobby Lobby and I want to glue the shells to the back which is made of soft material. Will super glue work or should I use a glue gun? I have alot of shells and I plan to hang the frame on my wall so I need to glue the shells somehow so they don't fall when I hang the box on my wall. Thanks!

i would use the glue gun. i use a glue gun for almost everything craft related that i know regular glue wont hold. and it's easier to get off your fingers...
