How do you make your own fabric prints?

I need help with positioning striped fabric on pattern?

• I have a window valance pattern and bought striped fabric. Is striped fabric considered "all over or non-obvious print" or is it considered "obvious or one-way prints"? I want to make sure I am positioning the pattern correctly on the striped fabric when I cut it.   Obvious print. Center the center of the pattern in the middle of one of the stripes.
