How long does fabric paint take to dry?

• I put fabric paint on a tshirt this type: http://www.createforless.com/InterchangeData/images/2/2007/0806/2007081002543532007-0806-6277.jpg I put it on rather thick and its for a school project due Thursday however I still need to put something on the back and wait for that to dry too. Will it dry in 24 hours so I can complete the other side tomorrow and then give it an additional day to dry? It says on the bottle "dry flat 24 hours, wash after 72" but I don't know if I put it on too thick so now it will take longer.. it was supposed to be due Monday but my teacher changed the date to Thursday today. Am I in trouble?

  Normally, when I have used this product, it dried within the 24 hours stated. Sometimes, you need to set it with a hairdryer. That works as long as it's not too hot cuz that will MELT the paint, rather than dry it. You should be ok after 24 hours to do the other side. Just see how tacky the paint feels. As long as it doesn't come off on your finger you should be ok. Try not to put it on so thick if that is what you are worried about. Good luck, sounds like a fun project!
