Where To Buy Soap Ingredients Manila?

How to make soap (preferable glycerin)?

  • I want to learn to make soap. Glycerin, because we have some glycerin based soap and it feels nice, and also because is clear its less likely to contain grossness (I will not use lard to make soap! That's just... BLECK!) Anyway, I have no clue how to make soap! So, beginner instructions, and most affordable way (Yeah, I can just buy soap, but I want to make it, so don't answer if that is all you will say!!) Also, what do I use to make them smell like things? Just any old Fragrance oils? And what are some good scents you can think? Also, how do you get food scents? I've seen chocolate scented soap, all sorts of baked goods stuff, and something that uses Fragrance oils (I think) smells like french bread, but made of fabric! My friend would love it if I could make that. Yes, she is that weird. But its better than lasagna soap! Also, since the chance of me finding a perfect scent is so low, I'll have to mix scents. I know how to do this. I'm good at mixing things, and having them turn out good. Lavender and peppermint? Smells amazing! Seriously, if you have those oils on hand, mix them! But I'll need a variety of scents for cheap. Any idea? I would prefer to do soaps that smelled like food, but only if I can find the right parts. Like, i would need the scents for different ingredients. Vanilla, sugar, Cinnamon, butter (Yup, you heard me right! You can't get a perfect cookie without a warm butter scent) Thanks in advance, and if you don't know, DON'T ANSWER.

  • Answer:

Go to your local library or book store and get some books on soap making. Yep, they have them (I had one that had instructions for cocoa-scented soap)! An easier (but more expensive) option is to go to a craft store (such as Hobby Lobby). There you can buy glycerin soap base, colors, fragrances, additives, and molds. I typically save the little pieces of soap when they are too small to use anymore, and when I get a bunch of them, I melt them down and mold them into new bars. An easy way to save a little money.

There is a good recipe for a basic soap on line on the 'Kirsty's Homemade Christmas' website it was broadcast last year but I've accessed the site recently. It gives you the ingredients and takes you through the process step by step. There is also an online store called the soap kitchen, which sells the ingredients and has recipes. Sorry I can't be more helpful than this but at least it's a start! Have a good day, Al.
