Where can i buy a giant birthday card?

Where can I get GIANT cardboard from to make a GIANT birthday card? PLEASE HELP!!?

  • I want to make my friend a GIANT birthday card for her 21st birthday... However, I do not know where to find some LARGE cardboard for the base of the card. I'm looking for it to be at least 4foot tall. Does ANYONE know where I can find this from? Thank you!

    Be sure to hit up a Wal-Mart or appliance shop, you'll get the cardboard for FREE! You'll want to ask an Overnight manager to please hold any large pieces of cardboard (reference movie shippers), before the shift begins.

Go to an art shop and ask for size A1 or A0 card as they are very big! You could get two pieces and stick them together down the side so it opens like a card. You should be able to get them in a variety of colours as well so it looks extra good! Hope that helps =]

You need to go to an art shop if ou have one near you or Partners or Osbornes even a whsmith have an art section and do large card. my daughter used a lot of it when she did art a level she went to art shop local in town

Cut down a cardboard box from the supermarket. Ask a stock boy. Or an appliance store.

After reading all of your answers, I agree with the appliance store idea...see if they can give you a refrigerator box!! A stove box would be good, too--but it will be shorter/smaller. Good Luck!

I suggest contacting local printing houses if arts and crafts supply stores don't carry something that large. Office supply stores should have bristol board in stock that is about half the size you want... you could always tape two together on the back side. Good luck!!!
