How can I make JAXB-generated classes participate in a visitor pattern?

How to crochet a hot pad and make a pattern bigger.?

  • I want to make an owl hot pad, but I don't know if there is a special way to make it thicker or if I can just make an owl with cotton yarn and that will hold the heat ok. Also, if I follow a pattern but it is smaller than I want it to be I would just add say 5 or more stitches to each row right? Like the pattern says to make magic loop and 4 sc in the loop then I would 9 sc and so on.

  • Answer:

Increasing patterns can be very tricky. I would suggest using a bigger hook or using two strands of yarn together. Two strands would make it much thicker too.

Hi Rebecca, I think you want to stick with a cotton yarn for pot holders/hot pads because your acrylic yarns will tend to melt after several trip to a 350+ oven after time and use. It's sounds like you're on the right track to enlarge your pattern. Couldn't really tell by not seeing the actual pattern, but increasing by a few stitches is pretty easy. If it begins to turn into a "cup" shape, you may not be increasing enough. So easy to correct as you do your rows, making sure your work lays flat.
