What are some fun things to do in Kenya?

What are some ideas of fun things I can do for free or for little money?

  • I live on a very limited budget and am on disability for some medical issues, and am often very exhausted (I also have trouble going too far from home). I want to volunteer in a bit, but right now I am looking for new or fun things I can do for very little money or for free. I already know about going to the pool, the seawall, the library and drawing. I am looking for cool, interesting hobbies or craft activities. A bit about me: I love art and crafts, I wouldn't mind having a collection (I like to order things and sort things into classes), I sleep a lot and often feel drowsy and dizzy so no overly-strenuous physical or mental things please. Any fun video games (I like brain training and games that teach you about the world and trivia). I also love animals, movies, etc... but am just looking for new things to do and new ideas. Anyone have ideas? Thanks!

Hit up the jewelry aisle at Hobby Lobby, there are tons of options and usually really good sales. If you get good enough at making jewelry, you might even be able to sell it :) You know you could just go to Hobby Lobby and just roam around until you find inspiration you can afford. You could also start making collages of stuff, grab some old magazines and cut cool stuff out, you can decoupage them on boxes, posters, wooden boards and more. Look up decoupaging for more information. As for card games, solitaire is not hard to catch on to. If you have people to play with you can never go wrong with UNO and Old Maid hehe. Old Maid is silly but not babyish... just fun. Another game that's cool for two people is Mancala. We looove it.

Some things I can think of: --Pick your favorite genre of movies, then do a search for the "top 20" films in that genre and watch all the ones you've never seen. --Volunteer at the local animal shelter, if you have one. Even if you are only able to stay for 30 minutes, I'm sure they would appreciate it. I volunteered at my local SPCA, and not only did they need people to do physically demanding activities, such as walk dogs, they also just needed people who could come in and "entertain" the animals for a while. You can imagine how lonely any dog or cat would be when they are kept in a small kennel by theirself all day. Speak with the shelter about your limits, and they will gladly give you things to do that are within your ability.

play cards or watch a movie with your best friends.

I like to get puzzles from thrift stores. Since you like crafts you could go to the thrift store and buy sweaters made of nice yarn and unravel it to reuse! That's something that's been on my list.
