    I'm giving homemade fudge in a small tin. also making Xmas tree light catchers, just string pretty glass beads in a line. A friend takes those clear craft glass ball ornaments you get at the craft store, takes paint and swirls it around the inside, in multicolor. You can also paint them, etch them, or fill them with confetti or cut up color tissue. Beaded tote bags or purses

Homemade cosmetics (i.e. lip balm and lip gloss) isn't such a good idea because if you don't know what you're doing, you can potentially seer off someone's face with harsh chemicals that may be alright by their selves, but when put together, can be potentially toxic. So I'd eliminate those. I think that burning CDs for everyone from your iTunes playlist is always a great way to go if you're tight on cash.

Get some small ready-to-finish wooden trays and decorate them. These are great for guys; they put it on the dresser and empty the contents of their trouser pockets into the tray at night.
