How do I preserve rose petals?
-
I have a bouquet of roses that are two days old. Half the dozen is dying, and I've preserved the other half that remained fresh up till today. Included in the bouquet is also bunches of tiny white daisies, and a bunch of magenta asters. As for the roses that weren't fresh enough to preserve, I'd like to keep their petals--perhaps for bathing or to make potpourri. What are your ideas as to what I can do with the dying roses? I would hate to see them waste. As for the daisies and asters, do I dehydrate them upside down with hairspray as I did with the other roses? Thanks :-)

Answer:
Silica gel desiccant is what you are looking for to preserve the petals :) It dries all of the moisture out of them :)
