You could put some little things for them to eat and drink like chocolates, buiscuits, teabags, cheese, wine, sweets, etc. Along with that you could put porcelain cups (they could be personalised with their name on it) one for each of them and some flowers to decorate. Ah, a card as well.

Hi there, I would go with what madgirl_br86 suggests, expect buy the biscuits in a tin. Then the tin can be reused after for things like storing crafty stuff. Then when all the goodies are eaten there is still something left that is useful that you gave them. I have a 12 year old daughter and she likes to make her own jewellery. Earrings, necklaces, bracelets, I think you get the picture. From a craft shop you can buy a box with all the bits and piece's in there I'm sure she will like that. For the 8 year old PlayStation or X Box Games. Find out from your boyfriend if he into that and what game he would love to own.

Mmm.... cookies in a jar. That always works for me. You get a clear glass canister - about 5 cups size. If it's a little bigger, you can put the brown sugar on top and just change the wording on the card. And the first 3 ingredients can be substituted with whatever dry ingredients you want as long as the amounts are the same. Layer neatly in jar packing down after each layer: 3/4 c Skor bits 3/4 c choc chips 1/2 c shredded coconut (these 3 can be put down in any order. Dried cranberries, white choc, and pistachios is good too) then add 1.5 cups large-flaked rolled oats (I use quick oats) Sprinkle 1 tsp cinnamon around edge of jar. In bowl whisk together: 1 c all purpose flour 1/2 tsp b. powder 1/2 tsp b. soda 1/4 tsp salt Mix well and spoon over cinnamon and oats. This is where you would seal the jar and decorate it with fabric or ribbons or whatever. Instructions to attach to jar: In bowl, beat together 2/3 cup butter or soft margarine and 1 cup packed light brown sugar. Beat in 1 egg. Add flour mixture from the top of the jar, stir with wooden spoon until blended. Stir in the rest of the jar ingredients and stir to mix well. Drop by tablespoons onto greased baking sheets about 2 inches apart. Bake in center of 350 degrees oven for 12-15 minutes or until golden on bottoms and edges are crisp. Transfer to rack and let cool. Makes about 40 cookies. ----- I hope this helps. =) If you're crafty at all, try painting something (like a flower or something) on the jar.
