Crochet - Tassled Miser's Purse Pattern help ?

• Hello. I'm having some issues with Part II of windrosefiberstudio's Miser's Purse pattern. I cannot, for the life of me, figure out how to do this damn flap. I've been working at it for over a week now, and I've all but given up on the pattern. Can someone please help me with this? I need an explanation in layman's terms and how to work it. Thanks in advance. :)

  The instructions and pictures seem clear to me. Which row are you lost on? The only bit that I can rephrase is in Row 9 where they say "without removing hook lift drawstring over" This sounds an odd way to word the instruction to me. I would write it as follows. On row 8 you wrapped the loop under the drawstring, worked chains,turned and worked over those chains and to the end of the row. This made the start of the flap. Row 9: SC the first 7 sts,chain 1 then tuck that beginning of the flap you created on row 8 and put it under the next drawstring,sc into each of the 3 sts of the flap.
