Would it be possible to make a "Rail Gun Glove"?
-
I've been looking at details on creating a Rail Gun, and was wondering whether it would be possible to incorporate a Rail Gun, into a glove. I know it's possible to create an "electric glove" or "tazer glove", and thought it would be pretty cool, to make a Rail Gun Glove. Obviously I would start out small and basic, but if I could gradually increase the velocity of the bullets, and create a "Gun Glove"... What do you guys think?

Answer:
Your problem will be with the power.... you need to at least 10 kilojoules to propel a projectile of less than a gram !! You'd need a HECK of a capacitor bank to hold that charge, and then it would be a one shot deal. Here is some more information with good links: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rail_gun
