Where can I learn to make clothes and sew clothes by myself?

Classes to learn how to sew/make clothes??? PLEASE ANSWER?

I'm going to buy a sewing machine, I want to learn how to make all kinds of stuff... I'm not talking about knitting sweaters, i'm not interested in that and it's too advanced/time consuming for me right now. I'm more interested in taking fabrics and sewing them together to make something. For example, I want to know how to make a custom fitted leather jacket. Or a custom denim jacket or anything along those lines, even pants and jeans. Any websites that can help me learn that? Or perhaps online webinars or something? I'm sure that there's a website that teaches all about this stuff, PLEASE HELP! Thanks..!

look on about.com in the sewing section start with a smallish project with 3 or 4 seams so you can learn to cut out your fabric and to drive your sewing machine. Choose a woven fabric that is the weight of the cloth in a man's shirt That will be the kind that won't fight with you.
