How can I get username into shortcode?

Should I get a different etsy username or keep my current one? (Even though it has nothing to do with my shop)?

• Alright, well a year ago I created my etsy account (and a shop where I never listed anything) and being a newbie, I made my username the same as that shop name. I've since closed that shop and I want to make a different one. The thing is, my username has nothing to do with the etsy shop I'm planning on opening. Should I make an entirely different account with a new username (which, honestly, seems like a hassle) or keep the one I have (which I'm reluctant to do)? Also, I made a couple purchases which I've already paid for, but haven't yet received in the mail. I made the purchase on Saturday so I know that it can't be shipped until Tuesday. Should I wait to close my current account until I receive the items I bought?

  I don't have an etsy account so idk how much help I'll be but... Yes I would wait and close your account after you receive your purchases and make sure you are happy with them (not sure about the return policy on the items you ordered, but that is what I would do) Can you just change your username? And what is your username and what kind of shop are you planning on opening? I mean if your current username is something that your target audience (aka future customers) would think is cool, you could just keep that name. But if you really don't want to keep your current username then I would definitely just change it/make a new account because it will be so much easier to do it now, before you open your new shop, rather than deciding to change it later after people start buying things from you.
