Where could I buy an anime mask?

Making a Code Geass Zero Mask. What can I do for the visor?

  • I've just recently joined the anime club at my college, and apparently, they try to raise money for us to go to Sakura Con in Seattle. I didn't think I'd end up making an anime costume when I joined, but I figured that if I'm in the club, I might as well enjoy the perk. Anyway, I decided that I was going to go as Zero from Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion. I think I have the basic structure down. The one thing that I can't figure out how to do is the visor (The part that cups Lelouch's upper face when he wears it). I thought that perhaps I could cut out two identical pieces of tinting film, melt them together, and put the result on the mask. I also heard that I could get some sheet plastic and melt it into a bowl shape. Does anybody have any other ideas? I would buy it, but I really don't want to spend two hundred and sixty dollars on a mask I may only wear once or twice.

  • Answer:

I found this close up of the mask on this link http://en.gigazine.net/index.php?/news/comments/20081010_codegeass_zero_mask/ Notice it is not in just one part. If you can get something you can bend to the top part you should not have any problem with the rest as you can see. Perhaps some clear plastic, maybe a coke liter bottle or something like that. The parts could be connected by using clear packing tape. When you have the shape you can get the tinted film to put over it but don't try to put it over the whole thing at once as you will wind up with ripples in the film you won't be able to remove.
