How do you make beads and pendants and charms?

you can make beads out of a variety of materials, from old magazine pages or fabric rolled up really tightly (roll them around a toothpick so there's a hole in the middle!) to clay (polymer clay that dries in the oven or "real" clay that needs to be fired) to "bread dough" to glass (this one takes some skill and access to glassworking supplies!). back in elementary school, we strung pasta and pretended it was beads. lol! pendants and charms would probably be done in a similar way, though the pendants might be flatter; charms would be done a lot like beads.
